Mr. UmeshKumar Mehta

Executive Director, CIO & Fund Manager

Mr. Umeshkumar Mehta has over 25 years of experience in Indian Capital Markets. His role involves overseeing investment strategies and managing assets across diverse portfolios. He has profound knowledge of financial markets, believes in data driven approach to investments and draws lessons from financial markets histories. He used to lead the Samco group’s Research team. He has been associated with the group for the last fifteen years. He is an CA and MBA by qualification.

Mr. Viraj Gandhi

Chief Executive Officer

Viraj Gandhi has graduated as MBA in Capital Markets from NMIMS University. Prior to joining SAMCO Group, he has been associated with ICICI Securities and ASK Investments as research analyst specializing BFSI segment. Along with his responsibility to create thematic reports, he has played an instrumental role in taking up morning & weekly market calls and address investors queries which has helped him gain knowledge of both the domain, be it stock market or marketing. He has been a regular face on news channels for his far-sighted views on BFSI sector and his expertise has always been well appreciated. A dynamic combination of research and marketing background will be a great value addition to Samco Mutual Fund to take the journey forward.

Mr. Sadath Ali Khan

Head Investor Services

Mr. Sadath Khan has more than 15 years of experience in the field of Investor Services, R&T Operations, MIS reports. Prior to the current assignment, he was associated with Quantum Asset Management Company Pvt Ltd as AVP- Investor Services.

Mr. Sachin Shetty

Head – Operations

Sachin Shetty has over 18 + years of extensive career in financial services, He has leveraged his expertise to augment functions in Asset Management, Investor Service, Banking, Investment Operations, Audit, and General Management.

His last association was with ITI Asset Management where he served as Chief Operations Manager. He has also worked with institutions like Kotak Asset Management, Peerless Fund Management and Prudential.

Mr. Shetty believes in persistent learning. After his MBA, he broadened his multi-sector knowledge by completing the Executive Management Program from IIM Lucknow.

Mr. C. Balasubramanian

Company Secretary & Compliance Officer

Mr. Balasubramanian possesses around 14 years of experience in the Mutual Fund industry, specializing in Compliance, Secretarial, and Legal domains. He is a qualified Company Secretary with a bachelor's degree in Law and Commerce. Before his current role, he served as the Head of Compliance, Secretarial, and Legal at ITI Asset Management Limited. His previous engagements include positions with Union Mutual Fund, Nippon Life Mutual Fund, and Sundaram Mutual Fund.

Mr. Vikram Lakhani

Risk Officer

Vikram has over 8+ years of experience in the Investment Bank Operations industry in the fields of Fund administration and Client Reporting and he specializes as an Operational Specialist. He holds an Executive MBA degree in Finance and a bachelor’s degree in commerce (Financial & Markets) from Mumbai University. Prior to his current position, he has worked with renowned organizations such as Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs & Motilal Oswal securities.

Mrs. Pujarani Hati

Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Pujarani Hati is a qualified Chartered Accountant and she has overall 10 years of experience in managing the financial actions of the Company. Prior to the current assignment, she was a Senior Manager – Finance & Accounts in Samco Securities Limited since March 2018.

Chief Information Security Officer

Mr. Manish Sharma carries 15+ years of rich experience in IT field, his expertise on handling System network administration. Prior to the current assignment, he was managing Network Operation in Samco Securities Limited since last 8 years.

Ms. Keerthana Bangera

Head – HR & Administration

Ms. Keerthana Bangera has an experience of 7+ years in HR and Admin activities. Prior to the current assignment, she was managing HR functions in Samco Securities Limited. She has pioneered the whole HR and Admin team. She has a track record of high performance in the hiring process, onboarding, performance management, grievances, HR Compliance, employee engagement, employee exits, payroll and admin pursuits.

Mrs. Nirali Bhansali

Fund Manager

Nirali Bhansali (B.E.,MBA Finance, pursuing CFA - US certification at final level) has nearly 8 years of experience with over 6 in capital markets & investment research. Her deep understanding of fundamental analysis has enabled her to provide cutting edge insights in conceptualising and developing Samco's flagship research and Investment products like HexaShield Framework, Stock Rating , StockBasket etc. She is a regular panelist on media & business news channels such as Bloomberg Quint, Money9 Live, CNBC TV18 etc.

Mr. Dhawal G Dhanani

Fund Manager

Dhawal Ghanshyam Dhanani (B.Com, A.C.A.) has over 5 years of experience advising international clients on taxation of transactions and capital markets. He worked as an equity research analyst wherein he played an instrumental role creating insightful investment strategies. He has garnered a deep analysis of financial statements and has comprehensively researched Fortune 100 companies, which has enabled him to play a key role in building Samco’s proprietary HexaShield framework.

Mr. Paras Matalia

Fund Manager & Head of Equity Research

Paras Matalia has an overall experience of nearly 9 years with about 6 years in capital markets. He is the Head of Equity Research and Fund Manager for Samco Mutual Fund where he has played pivotal role in analysing investments and construction of the fund portfolio. He has been crucial in the creation of the proprietary tech frameworks which does periodic scenario analysis on fundamentals as well as trend of thousands of companies. Being techsavvy he has a strong understanding of how to leverage technology to improve the investment and portfolio management prowess.

He started his career as an equity research analyst for creating StockBasket portfolios (A long-term thematic research and investment platform) and then went on to Head the StockBasket business unit. He was also a key member in developing the stock rating matrix and MosDex algorithms (that rates and ranks Indian listed stocks) with Samco Securities. He is an expert on creating rules based investing and fundamental analysis. He is also passionate about understanding business strategies and creating algorithms to identify price patterns.

He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has done his bachelor’s from R. A. Podar College of Commerce and Economics.
